  • Current post timeline
  • Current post reviews
  • Current post wall
  • Logged in user newsfeed
  • Sitewide activity

Current author timeline

This mode displays timeline posts and activity from the author of a profile or post. One of the primary uses of this mode is to be added to user profiles

Other users can view this activity when visiting another user’s profile, they can interact with it, but they cannot create new posts.

Current post timeline

This mode works similarly to current author timeline, but is intended to display activity from a specific post rather than a user..

For example, if you have a post type named Businesses, and you want each business to have an activity feed similar to a Facebook page, or an X business profile, you can place the Timeline widget on the single post template, and set the mode to Current Post timeline.

Other users can view this activity, they can interact with it, but they cannot create new timeline posts.

Current post wall

Current post wall allows you to create an open discussion area such as comments in a blog post or discussion area in a group.

Users can both interact and create new timeline posts with this mode.

Current post reviews:

This mode can be used to add a reviews area for your post types. The review settings can be configured for each post type in the post type editor

Logged in user’s newsfeed

This mode shows all activity from sources you follow, that includes people and posts. Learn more about Follow functionality

Sitewide activity

This mode is similar to Logged in user’s newsfeed, however it shows all public activity across the site, and is not limited to sources you follow
